This multidimensional data ensures that managers can act quickly if employees exhibit signs that they might leave.

“Our managers engage with employees to address their concerns in real time instead of after they’ve resigned,” Arnold says. Proactive efforts to reduce friction for clinicians include automating nursing licensure management with Workday. Managers are notified before they expire, which lowers the risks of having unlicensed nurses on the floor. “We made it easier for managers to do their job and focus on patient care,” Arnold says.

As part of its efforts to provide low-cost, high-quality patient care to a growing number of people, BSMH averages about 20 workforce transactions per year. Using Workday, BSMH can onboard new entities in as few as 90 days.
